Meet SparkNano during the B2B Matchmaking Days

At SparkNano, we are expert in spatial Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) — a transformative nano coating technology that plays a pivotal role advancing manufacturing of next-gen products for a cleaner world. As global demand grows for cleaner, more efficient technologies and industries transition for instance towards cleaner, more efficient, and low-carbon solutions, spatial ALD is key in enabling next-generation applications in energy and electronics for advanced manufacturing at industrial scale. Our deep expertise in this field positions us as an important contributor to building a more sustainable future. We are looking forward to connect with forward-thinking partners and bring our innovative technology to Korea during our participation in the EU Business Hub’s Green and Low Carbon Technologies mission to the Republic of Korea.

B2B Matchmaking Days

Come and meet us during the Matchmaking Days to explore collaboration opportunities and learn how spatial ALD can enable your next breakthrough in Battery Manufacturing, Solar Cell Manufacturing, Green Hydrogen Production and more.

Where SparkNano’s Technology makes an impact

While spatial ALD offers value across a wide range of industries, in Korea we highlight capabilities for the transformative energy products in:

  1. Battery Manufacturing (especially Lithium-ion)
Our spatial ALD coatings enable passivation layers on silicon and graphite anodes or artificial SEI layers on cathodes. This extends battery life, enhances safety, and improves overall performance — critical factors for next-generation electric mobility and energy storage.
  2. Solar Cells Manufacturing
For perovskite solar cell manufacturing looking to scale, spatial ALD is essential for applying uniform AlOx and SnOx layers, helping bridge the gap between lab-scale innovation and industrial production.
  3. Green Hydrogen Production (through PEM Electrolyser)
SparkNano’s spatial ALD delivers stable IrOx coatings to lower system costs and increase durability. In addition, manufacturers of titanium porous transport layers (PTLs) can add value by applying iridium catalyst layers, enhancing efficiency and enabling product differentiation.

By delivering high quality and precision thin films for next-gen products at high-throughput, scale, and in a cost-effective way, SparkNano is a key enabler of sustainable value chains in clean energy sectors, batteries, solar and hydrogen.

Meet with SparkNano during the B2B Matchmaking Days

SparkNano’s Commercial Director, Alexander Bouman, will represent the company during the EU Business Hub mission in Seoul, Korea, bringing our spatial ALD technology to the forefront of innovation dialogues and business matchmaking.

Eu Business hub 2025

The five-day business mission includes:

  • Two days of dedicated B2B matchmaking on June 11–12, held at the Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas Hotel
  • Three days of exhibition and networking
  • A study tour providing insights into Korea’s industrial and technological landscape

Explore and learn how spatial ALD can enable your next breakthrough in Korea.

The EU Business Hub is an EU-funded programme

This business mission of the EU Business Hub will focus on Green and Low Carbon Technologies.

The programme supports EU businesses in the green, digital and healthcare sectors to enter the markets of Japan and the Republic of Korea. Business missions to Korea will encompass all three priority sectors, while business missions to Japan will target the green and digital sectors.

SparkNano’s, Commercial Director Alexander Bouman, will be in Seoul, The Republic of Korea for the EU Business hub. This programme facilitates trade and business cooperation with the Republic of Korea and Japan in alignment with the objectives and oppertunities under under the recent Green and Digital partnerships in the framework of the EU-RoK Free Trade Agreement and the EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement.

The programme aims to strengthen EU businesses’ internationalisation, export and investment activities, as well as foster more resilient, sustainable, and technologically advanced value chains with the two Asian markets. Thus, significantly supporting the implementation of EU-RoK Free Trade Agreement (FTA) and the EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA). Participating companies are carefully selected based on criteria including their products and technologies, resources and capacity, as well as business strategy.

The EU Business Hub empowers selected EU companies by equipping them with in-depth knowledge of local business culture, market regulations and practices, and industrial briefs to increase their competitiveness in these dynamic Asian markets. The business mission to Seoul will last five days. Including a three days of exhibition for networking opportunities and a study tour.
