SparkNano presents at Spatial ALD Day 2.0

We are pleased to announce SparkNano will be at the second edition of the Spatial ALD Day. Spatial ALD Day 2.0 will take place on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). Following the success of the first edition, this event once again brings together leading researchers, innovators, and industry partners to exchange insights, share progress, and strengthen the community advancing spatial atomic layer deposition.

This year’s program will feature a rich mix of technical presentations, discussions, and networking opportunities. The day begins with a morning tutorial session by Bart Macco (TU Eindhoven), offering a deep dive into key topics in spatial ALD. This will be followed by scientific highlight presentations sharing the main results from the NWO OTP project, including new insights into doping and alloying, plasma-enhanced spatial ALD, and conformality control in advanced processes. Invited speakers Jamie Greer (AirLiquide) and Sébastien Moitzheim (Powall) will provide perspectives from the industrial front, connecting research and application.

SparkNano will be proud to take part in the technical session, where Dr. Paul Poodt, our founder and CTO and parttime Associate Professor at TU/e, will present the latest developments in scalable spatial ALD technology. His talk will focus on how our innovations enable the transition from lab-scale research to high-throughput manufacturing — unlocking new possibilities for energy, semiconductor, and advanced material applications. Our participation underlines SparkNano’s ongoing commitment to collaboration and knowledge exchange as key drivers for advancing the spatial ALD ecosystem.

Throughout the day, participants will have the opportunity to engage in discussions, visit the TU Eindhoven labs to see spatial ALD in action, and connect with peers during the networking drinks and dinner buffet that conclude the event. Spatial ALD Day is designed to foster collaboration and inspire progress, providing a platform for both established experts and new entrants to explore how spatial ALD continues to redefine what’s possible in thin-film processing.

Participation in the event is free of charge, but registration is required. The Spatial ALD Day will take place at the Flux building on the TU Eindhoven campus, and lunch and dinner will be provided. Dietary preferences can be indicated during registration.

We look forward to seeing you in Eindhoven this October and to another inspiring edition of the Spatial ALD Day — where ideas turn into collaboration and innovation moves forward.
