October 22–23, 2025, Berlin, Germany: SparkNano and the University of Manchester are excited to showcase their partnership at Techblick Perovskite Connect 2025 / The Future of Electronics RESHAPED in Berlin, Germany. The collaboration brings together SparkNano’s proven, patented spatial Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) technology and advanced ALD systems with the University’s expertise at the Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre (GEIC) in nanomaterials and graphene. Together, they share a mission to advance the manufacturing of next-generation energy technologies.

Dr Andrew Strudwick, Application Manager at GEIC / The University of Manchester: “Partnering with SparkNano allows us to push the boundaries of what’s possible in energy innovation. By combining their scalable spatial ALD platform with our expertise at GEIC, we’re accelerating the discovery and validation of materials for electrolysers, batteries, fuel cells, and perovskite solar cells, helping turn cutting-edge research into real-world impact.”

Alexander Bouman, Commercial Director at SparkNano: “We are delighted to collaborate with GEIC at the University of Manchester. Our goal is to accelerate their research and make it ready for partners to scale up to sheet-to-sheet or flexible roll-to-roll industrial manufacturing. By combining our in-house expertise, technology, and innovative systems, we create uniform, ultra-thin coatings with precise material control, minimal waste, and high throughput. This makes the process sustainable, efficient, and ready for industrial-scale deployment.”
